This place was incredible, a house so unique and perfect for everything we needed. We had 2 adults and 4 children aged between 9 and 15 in our group. Everyone had plenty of space, and it was a perfect place that had so much to offer for all of us. The seaside location is so rare and charming. It’s hard to describe the exact setup, but there’s an ocean you can swim in and a small, very private beach area right on the immediate property. It felt like our own isolated paradise. I would love to come back!

Wow! This place was like a private oasis, but secretly tucked inside bustling San Juan. We couldn’t be more thrilled with our stay. The only thing we’d advise future renters is to keep in mind that the common area is an open atrium. (It means there’s no roof over the common space.) I LOVED it and it was so impressive, just so you know in case you’re not expecting an open roof— What an amazing place to make lifelong memories. Janeska was such a kind, helpful, and accommodating host. We’ll definitely book this again!

The place is beautiful and perfect once you’re inside. Although it’s not in the most trafficked area, the privacy and view are amazing and worth the price. It’s a lovely spot with plenty of space for a larger group or a family. The only drawback is the door situation. You have to take a clicker and a physical key to enter and exit the street door. There’s a lock on the house’s exterior door, and the house itself is obviously locked up. All of this works well to provide security and privacy, but it’s quite annoying to keep track of them. If you only take the clicker, a woman on the side of the street will shout at you for not bringing the physical key and using the pedestrian door on the side. Overall, I would definitely stay there again, but I’d rent a car even just to avoid having to carry several keys with me and let taxi drivers in and out every time they come and go.

The two‑story wooden cabin has that rustic charm that makes you feel out of the routine from the very first moment. The property was clean, but the experience left much to be desired. The host was inflexible about check‑in time, even after I had asked in advance if I could arrive earlier. Throughout the stay the internet didn’t work, and on the second day the water went out, which complicated the visit. The property has a water reserve, but it’s hard to connect at night because it’s far away. At the end I received a message implying that a cable from a piece of equipment we never used was missing, which made me feel uncomfortable and under suspicion. I recommend that future guests, before leaving, document the state of the property and its items with photos or videos to avoid unfair accusations. I would not repeat it.

After arriving at the accommodation, it was very difficult to find where to go. There were no instructions. I entered the main house, went into all the rooms, and they were all dirty. I sent a message to the host and he told me it wasn’t the main house, which was fine, but what if others had been in the main house at that time? Again, there were no instructions of any kind. We reached the suite outside the house and found a lock code, but we were not given a password. I had to send another message to the host. Once inside, it was very hot. There was no air conditioning. Luckily, it only took an hour to cool down. There were no light switches. Finally, I found a remote control. Again, I needed instructions. I tried to go to the bathroom; again there was no light switch, so I had to send a message to the host again. He told me that the light had a remote somewhere around the pool area. After searching for 10 minutes, I found it on top of the mirror. The host provided snacks, which was nice. The next morning, I tried to leave the property; I couldn’t get out and had to send a message to the host. The shower didn’t have hot water, so I had to bathe in cold water.

Great location with many points of interest nearby (diagonally there’s a taquería called “El Santo” that’s delicious) and they were very kind in responding quickly and letting us in before the scheduled check‑in.

We really wanted to like Janeska’s place, but unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay. **Pros:** - The location right next to the sea is pretty great **Cons:** - It was very difficult to get in and out of the house. A bunch of codes, locks, deadbolts… it was a nightmare. Half the locks didn’t work and we only had one key for eight people. - Most of the time Uber drivers couldn’t get into the gated community—another nightmare. - The common areas were very hot and humid because they’re outdoors, and it wasn’t very clean when we arrived. - One bathroom light didn’t work and was never fixed during our stay. There was also no hot water. - Other bathrooms had very low shower pressure, basically just a drip. - Some rooms had issues with the air conditioning. - There weren’t enough towels for eight people, no additional towels were provided during our stay and we had to buy extras. - The Wi‑Fi and TVs didn’t work. - Check‑in instructions were very complicated. - There were crabs at the Airbnb accommodation. We checked out late because of the problems, but overall it was a bad experience :(

It was easy to get in touch with Janeska and she responded very quickly. She helped meet all our needs promptly. The house has comfortable bedrooms, working air conditioning, and an amazing view. Overall, the stay was great. However, there are a few things that could be improved to take the experience from excellent to incredible: 1. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work all weekend. This makes it difficult for people who want to finish their work. 2. The rooms get a lot of sun from 6:00 a.m. Blackout curtains or courtesy eye masks would be perfect. 3. There’s a small pool on the property, but the jets/pumps weren’t working or were off. 4. A hammock would be perfect for the outdoors. 5. The coffee maker didn’t work well, and it would be good to have sugar packets available. 6. Most of the keyboards don’t work. 7. Label all the clickers. It’s confusing for everyone, even Uber drivers. 8. It would be nice to have complimentary sunscreen. I hope these issues are resolved because I’d love to stay there again in the future! Thank you!

Hidden Hacienda is a historic gem in Puerto Rico; the house’s architecture is impeccable and exceedingly beautiful. The home is surrounded by lush vegetation, making its balconies and interior views truly special. We feel extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to stay at this Airbnb and enjoy the peace it provides. We will definitely return! The house has hot water, which is fantastic given the climate in PR. The Jacuzzi is surrounded by greenery with cooking areas nestled in nature. The terrace next to the kitchen is very spacious and enveloped by nature. My family and I love the house and consider it a very special and beautiful place. We will definitely come back!

Definitely a BEAUTIFUL place. The photos don’t do justice to the beauty of Hacienda Escondida. The cabin is beautiful and masterfully designed to represent a 20th‑century hacienda. The details of the windows, the doorwork, every bit of architecture is incredible, evoking a bygone era. The atmosphere of the place breathes and exhales peace and harmony wherever you look, sit, or walk. The surroundings make you feel as if you’re in a grand garden in harmony with nature. Of course I’ll be back! Everything you need is just a few minutes away—supermarkets, many spots like the Café Lareño hacienda where you can stroll along trails and find unique flowers and flora of the area. The Mirador de Mariana Bracetti offers a view of the entire city from the hilltop, Balcon Mirador and other vistas to the birds at Hacienda La Esperanza also walk in Plaza La Revolución, where you can find the iconic Lares ice cream. And a great place to eat nearby.

Janeska’s house was incredible and extremely clean. Check‑in and check‑out were very quick. The house matched the photos perfectly, and the neighborhood was extremely quiet and safe. Friendly neighbors were a bonus! My group of five slept comfortably in the four bedrooms and enjoyed a view of the sea every morning. The kitchen made us want to take it home with us—it was beautiful. The property is close to restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. Old San Juan and the T‑Mobile District aren’t far either by Uber. Power was cut in many neighborhoods, but don’t worry, Janeska’s generator kicked on immediately, so we weren’t affected! We loved this property and hope to book it again on our next visit to Puerto Rico.

The place was beautiful. The view of the beach was incredible. The rooms were big enough for our seven people. The only thing I would say was that cooking was a bit difficult because the kitchen, dining rooms and living areas had no air conditioning due to the house’s design. It had an open roof with no windows or ceiling, so natural air – and other nocturnal insects – would come in. Like many families, we liked to gather for dinner or game night, but it was too hot to do that in the common areas. Also, ants were terrible, but it’s understandable they’re everywhere; having ant traps available for guests would make life easier. Finally, I’d recommend a small improvement to the shared bathroom. Water was leaking into our room and almost filled the bathroom floor after showering. Perhaps adding a lip to prevent water from flowing onto the bathroom floor would be very helpful. This isn’t Janeska’s fault, but it may be a design flaw.

Great place. You just have to know that the living room has an open ceiling and it sometimes heats up. Opening the windows helps with ventilation, but otherwise it was beautiful.

The place was super nice and looks like the photos. The common areas of the house don’t have air conditioning because the roof is open. So keep the following in mind: The place faces the beach, but there’s no direct access to the beach unless you want to climb up the rocks with crabs. The host tried to charge an extra for the SHEIN bags I left on the floor and a plate in one of the rooms after I had already paid the cleaning fee. There also weren’t many towels and laundry items. We only had one towel and a cloth per person for a five‑night stay, which is inconvenient, so you might want to bring your own. Aside from that, the place was super nice and in a perfect location.

The stay was great, just one minor issue with a clogged toilet from the previous guest. I sent a message to Janeska and, early in the morning, a plumber was on site and also came by to make sure our belongings weren’t disturbed by an external plumber. The house itself was a dream home. The beautiful sea view from my room kept my wife at peace all the time. The skylight in the middle of the house was incredible. Super clean and excellent location.

Think twice before staying in this house because it looks amazing in the photos due to the open space, but keep in mind that this comes with extremely hot weather and you can feel the heat throughout the house. Some of the air conditioning units in the rooms weren't working, so we ended up having to share rooms with our friends, which made no sense for a 4‑bedroom house. The toilet in the shared bathroom was still clogged, as were the sinks. Things like this should be tested before guests arrive because it shouldn't be happening.

This was an exceptional place for a girls’ trip. The view was absolutely spectacular and tranquil. Janeska helped organize the transportation and a private chef experience. There were some minor issues, but she was super attentive. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and provided the perfect backdrop for friends over 30 to reconnect. I will visit around 2-3 times a year, I love this place and it was my first time here, but it was beautiful and peaceful listening to the waves crashing all day. The open concept never experienced that rain fell in the middle of the villa, definitely a good experience.

We found absolute happiness here! I was looking for a place for my family to escape during the holidays and discovered an absolute gem. This spacious property was immaculate, beautifully decorated with a minimalist zen vibe. Our family had ample space and privacy. The neighborhood is ultra‑quiet and safe, with no noise except the crashing of ocean waves. We spent most of our time sitting on the terrace, watching the ocean and sky all day long. It was close to the airport and within walking distance of the market and several nice restaurants. Our host was over‑the‑top. She was extremely welcoming and attentive. She gave us transportation recommendations and local attractions. She made sure our family was comfortable and well taken care of, and we’re grateful to have such a wonderful host. This place was absolutely perfect for recharging, and we look forward to our next visit.

This is a beautiful house right on the beach that makes our family of six feel at home. The first five days were a dream vacation experience that I hope all families can have. The last three days (not so much) I booked this because of a generator on site, but the generator didn’t work during the outage and it took me an entire day of my vacation worrying about where I would have a safe family stay. At the last minute, with no other viable options, I decided to go without electricity (to keep the family safe) and lost more than $300 on tuna and fresh captured groceries (I was reimbursed $100 for food loss, 50% for one night and $25 for the next). I felt a little sad that I could have offered the last two nights free because of the power outage and no generator, and no other place to stay. Everything I would suggest for your house to stay (with a working generator), the location is great, the showers need work, and the only other thing that would have made our trip even better would be a grill for barbecue on site.
